Starlight

Far luminaries.

Outlying gas giants.

Light local trails.

Puppies’ Playful Stance

Puppies’ playful, light-primed stance

Brings romantic eyes toward swirling

Leaves bequeathed by natural means,

Circumstances not askance with doggie

Tricks, licking, wagging, chewing bugs,

Rugs, even slippers. Whispers no worries

Gives sweet voices, yields choice of leash.

Acquiring Provisions for Pets and Plants

Acquiring provisions for pets and plants means,

Immediately bothering to stop impressing visiting royalty.

Conditional thinking urges forward weird conversations,

Means brain chow gets stuffed into fashionable, bad writing.

This contemporary period of literature supports would-bes,

Amply applies herbal poultices to large weevils seeking ignominy.

As well, those folks embodying feminine briefcase traits,

Stockings, fishing lines, rotten mascara, continue halting armies.

Principally, history teachers recall “now” trumps “before,”

Whenever banels of woolies try to substitute for moving assemblies.

Mistaking “insufficient” for “necessary” grows troubles,

Routes campuses where street bums’ podiums fail wallabes.
