Poems. By Stephen Chaleff
Ray
Your gaze like starlight
Your touch like silk
Your kiss, sweet
Your love, My soul
* * * * *
Rays
In my sorrow
In my pain
I felt love
Striking my heart
Powerful
Love
Of Yours
I feel Joy and pain subsides

Put Something On
Clothes are meant to be worn
Not Sheltered
For sometime
When?
Another time
Yeah, keep something nice
But
Wear it
Or
Give it to someone who will
When?
Soon
Wear it out
Enjoy it
Move on
Endless Clutter
Sheltered no more
(Hey! how do I look)

Dogs In Agreement Detrimentally
Remember that Dog?
The one in the cartoon
Running between the larger dogs legs
"yeah, yeah, dats right boss"
Small
Dismissed
Do we see ourselves
Puny in stature
Do we see ourselves
Always afraid of being trod on
Stepped on
Victimized
Struggle to exist
The big dogs have their way
While we
Run in agreement through
Pylons of flesh
We accept the rejected
And
Reject what we've accepted
And
Move
On
