Welcome to all of you with enthusiasm for
the literary and the artistic. We have stories, we have poems, we have
pictures, we used to have music reviews, and with your help, we're constantly
adding more.
The site is updated with new material approximately
once a month, the editor will now introduce the latest edition:

April 2024
It's a bit late to do April fool jokes isn't it?
I'm not fooling with this edition anyway, it's turned out
to be a pretty good one.
We have one new poet and a whole bunch of regulars and
returnees, thanks to all of you!
Just one notice: Gary Beck has a translation of Aeschylus'
Agamemnon out in paperback, it was written for the stage and produced off
Broadway. Find it on
Amazon.
Right.. hold onto your hats, here we go!
Paul
Murgatroyd Is back with a devilish tale of, well..
Devilry. Rodney, a bullish student at a prestigious college, is
heading for an unwelcome but possibly profitable meeting..
Martin
Green has been with us for many years and it's good to see that he
is still writing stories. This one is a "Walker Family" story and Tom is having
A Problem at Work.
KJ Hannah
Greenberg's story concerns a child growing up, and away from her
parents. Flying the nest you might say? It's called The Egg Drop
Challenge.
Terry
Brinkman is looking forward to 2034 in the hope that Salt Lake City
gets the Winter Olympic Games. Read Winter Olympics to see
why.
KJ Hannah Greenberg again brings us
a collection of her digital art. This time it's super colourful images of
flowers and suchlike.
Terry Brinkman has a great new
piece of art called Hitch Hiker. It's on his art page where you
can see all his other pictures too.
Linda
Imbler makes a welcome return to Winamop with a new selection of
poetry. Here we have: Harmonious Curing - New Experience - The Power Of
Arms - Wanting The Why and Weird Legends.
Diane
Webster was last with us in January and is back already with five
super poems: Pocket Bulge - Snowman Cousins - The Wake - Cemetery
Everyone and Naughty.
Ethan
Kwak is a poet from California who is new to Winamop. He introduces
himself with two fine poems: The News and Once.
Terry
Brinkman has a new selection of poems for us. Here are Struck
Him Ilk - Sonnet CDIX - Sonnet CDVIII - Sonnet CDVI and Sleepy
Whale 280.
KJ Hannah
Greenberg has some poems from her "Pulp Literature" collection
today, in addition to the art and the story above. Here we have:
Etiolated - Verse and Prose and Translating Semantics into
Maths.
That was April's efforts, I hope you found something that
pleased you.
If you feel you have something to contribute to the site -
stories, poems art or music - please do so and together we'll keep Winamop
going. The email button is at the bottom of this page.
If enough new stuff comes in we'll be back in May,
otherwise it'll be June.. definitely.. I think.

Winamop was conceived on a
whim, is run on a shoestring, ignored by the many, loved by the few and has
continued unabashed since 2003.
All human life is here,
experienced people, skilled writers and rank amateurs, sometimes they hit the
mark, sometimes they belly-flop (sometimes they mix their metaphors). You pick
up the pieces and make of them what you will. Find out about us
here and about the site here. The contributor's guidelines are
here and the e-mail button is below.
We hope to continue to maintain a showcase
for new writing which will grow as you, dear readers, augment the efforts of
the in-house team. We have over 800 unique pages so far but, quite frankly, we
need more...
Have a good look around and if you feel
that you'd like to contribute in any genre, then don't be shy, send it in! The
copyright remains yours, and you could win a mop (unlikely, as I've run
out).
Jump straight to a category using the
buttons at the top of the page, they work from any page. Remember, it's all
free and is made from 100% natural ingredients!
By the way, we use a cookie to record your
page ratings, if you don't rate a page you won't get one!
