Weekend Noises Outside My Window
There are those people out there who tell
me
Im lucky, lucky to live in this
wonderful little
Slice of Bohemia & right next to the
beach but
Tonight as I sit here all I can hear is the
noise
the noise of the air b&bs
filling up for the
Weekend ahead as the sirens wail as the
police
Helicopter circles & I know its
going to be
Another weekend all alone dreading the
idea
Of even stepping foot out there in a
town
Besieged by nightmarish day-trippers.

I Dream Of Her
She aint here tonight & all I can
do is sit here
Dreaming about here
Dreaming about that time when Ill move
over
To my bed & smell her
But she wont be there but as I close
my eyes I
Can almost feel her &
She feels so damn good but tonight a dream
is
All she can be.

The Words Come To Save Me (From This
Dream Life)
And so I turn
I turn back to this
The word as it
Comes to save me
One more time as
Today I write & felt
It. That magical it
Which stays with you,
If you have any kind
Of good luck, through-
Out this poetic life
But which, under stress,
Even the real writer can
Forget where they left it
Even if only momentarily
But, for me, a recent wave
Of discombobulation has
Cast my mind asunder
Beneath a whole host of
Dreams which would
Soon be a living reality
As nightmares of loss
Turn to visions of a
Future I can now, just
About, afford for myself.

I Toke It To The Roach & Then I
Sleep
As I toke it down hard I can feel my
mind
Begin to drift off into a world of
worry,
Of paranoia
& crazed thoughts as the joint takes
hold
& suddenly I realise that, maybe, hell
who am I kidding?
Maybe nothing, this time around its
knocking me
Sideways & there aint nothing I
can do
Except smoke.
Ill smoke it on down to the end &
know
That somehow I overloaded the beast
&
As the afternoon kicks in Ill crave
nothing
But a little siesta knowing that when I
Wake Ill get right back on the drug
train
Only this time Ill make sure it
aint as strong!
