Millions
by KJ Hannah Greenberg

“I love you a million!”

“That’s nice.”

“…my million dollar baby!”

“So sweet. Your father called me ‘boorish.’”

“Not in a million years!”

“Right. Last time, he called me ‘sanctimonious.’”

“What’s he know? Anyway, he and Ma are a million miles away.”

“I wish. Why did we buy them the house next door?”

“Ah, the million-dollar question.”

“Literally. You’re their trust fund heir.”

“Well, I feel like a million dollars, minus the silver spoon, of course.”

“Of course. And I chose to marry you. Sigh.”

“Those million years ago, you were my one in a million!”
