Vaguebooking

 

When the sun sets, all sorts of deliberately cryptic social media updates,

I.e., those appearing emotionally charged, else lacking context, blossom.

 

It’s not so much that eliciting attention drives intellectual troikas as it is

The jingoism of influencers over & again remains unworthy of answers.

 

Publicly supplicating for validation, not communicating directly, raises

Questions about the kind of semaphores we rely on for regulating status.

 

 

 

 

 

The Benefits of Insouciance

 

Kittens look as if happy-go-lucky, casual in intent, likewise nonchalant,

Concerning killing wildlife.

 

Similarly, when petunias and brown-eyed susans discourse over rainfall,

They’re calm, relaxed about precipitation.

 

Humans, correspondingly, could benefit from learning the carefree ways

Of the natural world, the light-hearted mindset of fauna and flora.

 

All in all, blithe persons’ stances offer many plusses involving longevity.

Beyond that, anxious, uptight thinking extends merely imbalances, pain.
