Money from him a secret,
Money From them all above board,
Money for influence on policy,
Money to become a lord .

 
Cash for questions all the rage,
Brown envelopes changing hands,
Cash for undeclared holidays,
Cash for villa’s on golden sands.

 
Hiding the evidence under false names,
More sinister assistants hired,
Uncovered by a probe or two,
Junior official getting fired.

 
The war is going well overseas,
Plenty of bullets still to fire,
45 minute dossiers to fool us all,
Allies who buy us into the mire.

 
Electorate they are the weak,
Tax cuts to buy them too,
Which leader do you trust now,
Politics for sale red yellow and blue.
