Gloze

When making excuses for choices, it’s best not to stumble.

Consider that fashioning resilient PR packages (containing cushioning effects)

Requires small amounts of social scansion, not counting a jot of stultifying words.

In cases where dignity is lacking, special merit’s assigned to mneme,

Logos, and phone. Natural law, i.e., the strictures of the universe, tends to skip

Fairness. On balance, folks acquire disparate amounts of gain by riving governments.

In the true sense of signs and symbols, rhetoric discards larger cultural

Development, creates epigenetics, or else makes doxing easy as skipping stones.

Figure out, metaprinciples, more often than not, are both synchronic and diachronic.

When daubing ideologies across cultures, interdisciplinary approaches work.

Repetition undergirds non-truth, while, concurrently, what’s lost “in translation”

Applies life’s tautology (among stages of hibernation & estivation, sleep sweetens.)

A Satire of Christina Rossetti’s “A Birthday”

My heart is like a singing bird

Whose nest is in a desert bare.

My heart is like an apple tree,

Shedding its bark without a care.

My heart is like a rainbow shell

Hiding the snail ruining the tree.

My heart is sadder than all these

Because my love has come to me.

Construct me a dais of faux rags

Hang it with foul, brackish dyes

Carve it in weeds & lizards’ tongues

And serpents with blood-red eyes

Work it with brown, splintered twigs,

In bleak mornings and darkened skies

Because the lowest point of my life

Has come, my love has come to me.

Impressionable Minds

Impressionable minds must be protected from crowds!

Consider how often acts of agents, performed senselessly,

Prevent our withstanding profuse vices, reduce critical thought.

If only the spread of education wrangled away dull assessments,

Compelled us to memorize truth, replaced personal agents with

Impersonal forces; we’d all over regard ideas as worthy

Objects of contemplation, again embrace cultural

Expressions of moral philosophy.

Unfortunately, principled behavior no long ranks

Among estimated goings-on. Further, sound intellect’s

No trophy midst social demarcations. We’ve an increasing

Number of barbarian comportments plus a dependency on media

Akin to slavery. Our prolixity maintains nothing like standards,

Concurrent with us disobeying nature and society.

Present achievements don’t mean success.

Prudence’s no longer normative.
