Poems
by Terry Brinkman

Sonnet CXV

Frog green Lady Bird

Brief gesture had

Death pew of Trinidad

Ship worm curd

High minded word

Young gossoon lad

Hobbling in plaid

Lase fringe of the herd

Snot green sea grass slab

Ghost woman dance

Old man blab

Grave yard ants

Cough-balls of laughter stab

Clambering romance

Ineluctable mobility of drab

Coffee steams from France

a line, (a short blue one)

Sonnet CXXXI

Clambering down the foot path

Acrid smoke light

Gun-Powder cigarettes invite

Moon mid-watchers psychopath

Faintly urine scented, bath

Blue dusk moonlight

Lace fringe of the Kite

Spiritual condition of wrath

Motley affairs of man

Woven Silk formal

Half mad plan

Papal blessing informal

Hymn to Can-Can

Solemnities slightly normal

a line, (a short blue one)

Sleepy Whale 295

Ill girt server, three hands limb from limb

Syndetic listener Chatterley sticky plates

Reading

Wine stained pages of City Weekly

Blew the foamy crown from her pint

Splashed on her rich silk stockings

Trotting down elbows on the table

Tooth and nail archbishops drinking club

Rubs off my stockings with his hand-kerchief

Alabaster silent life of gingerbread absence

a line, (a short blue one)

Spring CXVIV

Orion and his sword gone

Waxing day waning night

Sun-moving right

New green Lawn

Flowers from Amazon

Rising Fahrenheit

Apricot blooms ghost white

Young Swan and Fawn

Bee from Pea to Pea

Dance of Dragonfly

Snow-Birds flee

Pie at night by Firefly

She’s drinking Tea

Not waiting for July

Flowering Peach tree

Spring is just a Passer-by

a line, (a blue one)
