I didn’t mean to act like that

During the entirety of our relationship

But part of the blame has to be on you

I mean you really should have known

That writers are at their best mercurial

And at their worst bipolar.

They may be a bother

Buzz around for a while

It's not uncommon for them to join together in packs and swarm

But know this - they rarely sting

And it’s unlikely that you will ever taste their venom

Regardless of how you vex and coax
